Our client is seeking an experienced Real Time Engineer to join a growing engineering team supporting critical power generation operations. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of real-time operational support, monitoring large-scale power generation assets and helping maximize reliability, uptime and performance across multiple sites.
This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, analyzing live operational data and working closely with field operations to keep critical equipment running safely and efficiently.
Please note: This position operates on a shift rotation and requires 100% onsite attendance

As the Real Time Engineer, you'll play a key role in monitoring and optimizing power generation assets by:
- Monitoring power generation equipment in real time to maximize equipment availability and performance
- Analyzing operational data to identify trends, faults and equipment anomalies
- Providing technical troubleshooting support to field operations teams
- Performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementing corrective actions
- Working closely with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering teams to resolve technical issues quickly
- Producing reliability reports, performance dashboards and technical recommendations
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across monitoring and operational processes
- Supporting incident response activities and helping minimize operational downtime
- Ensuring all work is carried out in line with HSE standards and best practices
We're looking for someone who has a strong engineering background combined with hands-on power generation experience.
- Solid experience working with industrial turbines (this is a mandatory requirement)
- Experience with in power generation or large industrial energy environments
- Experience supporting or troubleshooting rotating equipment
Strong understanding of electrical systems, controls and power distribution
Experience performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
Strong communication skills with the ability to support both engineering and field operations teams
Comfortable working on a rotating shift pattern Highly Desirable- Experience with Solar SMT Turbine Generator Packages
- Experience with CAT G3520 Generator Packages
- Knowledge of medium voltage systems (up to 15kV)
- Experience using SCADA, PowerBI, Grafana, Sophia or similar monitoring/visualization platforms
- Familiarity with multi-generator control systems
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Controls or related Engineering discipline
- 25% annual bonus
