Job Description Summary
The Global Process Engineer (GPE) will work closely with the Global Manufacturing Engineering Leader, focusing on developing and deploying global standards that improve the reliability, availability, and performance of Aero Alliance's manufacturing equipment and processes. The role involves analyzing data, implementing proactive measures, driving cost reduction through standardization, and serving as a focal point for new technology introductions and asset transfers.
Roles and Responsibilities- Develop, qualify, and improve manufacturing processes.
- Define and deploy global process and equipment standards across Aero Alliance factories.
- Control and communicate global processes for manufacturing assets, including facility integration, acceptance testing, machine health checks, calibrations, preventive maintenance plans, spare parts strategy, technical & technology training.
- Validate engineering specifications and shop floor application of new processes.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams on new repair processes and qualifications.
- Develop and implement reliability improvement strategies using FMEA and RCA.
- Collaborate with maintenance, operations, engineering, and safety teams to design and implement preventive and predictive programs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce equipment downtime and improve quality processes.
- Lead investigations into failures and chronic issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Provide technical support for asset management, including equipment life cycle analysis and spare parts optimization.
- Train local factory manufacturing engineers to deepen expertise in process and equipment.
- Participate in design and installation of new equipment and implementation of processes, ensuring reliability is considered from the outset.
- Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices.
- Stay informed of industry trends that may inform work.
- Make decisions using high-level judgment and handle complex tasks or problems in operational, product, manufacturing, technology or engineering areas.
- Lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college.
- 7+ years of industrial experience in manufacturing or quality.
- 5+ years of experience in a technical role (manufacturing engineer or similar) with expertise in assembly processes of aerospace engines or power plant turbines.
- Strong knowledge of engineering concepts and quality processes.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, drawings, and schematics.
- Project management skills and experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent experience.
- Significant years of industrial experience in manufacturing or quality.
- Significant years of experience in a technical role (manufacturing engineer or similar) with expertise in assembly processes of aerospace engines or power plant turbines.
- Strong knowledge of engineering concepts and quality processes.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, drawings, and schematics.
- Project management skills and experience.
- Fluency in English (speaking and writing).
- 10+ years of technical experience with expertise in assembly processes of aerospace engines or power plant turbines.
- Direct leadership experience of both professional and production employees.
- Ability to coach and influence others, lead small teams, and lead Kaizen teams.
- Experience with Zero Defect framework and elements.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact, coordinate and manage several projects simultaneously.
- Managed a cost center or P&L with solid understanding of operational metrics.
- Proven analytical, organizational, and problem‑identification skills.
- Deep manufacturing technical expertise and comprehensive knowledge of underlying principles, approaches, and methodology.
