Location: Houston, TX ( Primarily in office/on-site with occasional hybrid flexibility)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Piping Engineer to support the design, operation, maintenance, and modification of piping systems for complex offshore energy facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring piping systems are designed and maintained in accordance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices while supporting safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
The ideal candidate will have experience working on offshore production facilities, FPSOs, floating energy assets, offshore platforms, or major oil and gas projects. This position requires strong technical expertise, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and a commitment to operational excellence throughout the asset lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering & Design
- Develop, review, and approve piping system designs, layouts, specifications, and engineering deliverables.
- Perform piping stress analysis and support flexibility assessments to ensure system integrity.
- Prepare and review piping material specifications, line lists, valve specifications, and piping class documents.
- Review and approve piping drawings, isometrics, P&IDs, plot plans, and 3D model layouts.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards, including ASME, API, ISO, and offshore regulatory requirements.
- Support design modifications, brownfield projects, and facility upgrades.
- Provide technical support for offshore operations and maintenance teams.
- Investigate piping-related equipment failures, integrity issues, and operational challenges.
- Develop engineering solutions to improve system reliability, safety, and performance.
- Support inspection, corrosion monitoring, fitness-for-service evaluations, and mechanical integrity programs.
- Participate in risk assessments, HAZOPs, and management of change (MOC) processes.
- Support capital projects from concept development through commissioning and start-up.
- Coordinate with structural, mechanical, process, marine, and instrumentation disciplines.
- Participate in vendor reviews, technical bid evaluations, and contractor management activities.
- Monitor project schedules, technical deliverables, and engineering quality requirements.
- Support offshore installation, commissioning, and turnaround activities as required.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all activities are executed in accordance with company HSE policies.
- Ensure designs comply with environmental, regulatory, and operational requirements.
- Participate in incident investigations and root cause analyses when required.
- Assist with development and implementation of engineering standards and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5+ years of piping engineering experience in the oil & gas, Client, offshore, marine, or energy industry.
- Experience supporting offshore production facilities, FPSOs, floating assets, or large-scale process facilities.
- Strong knowledge of:
- ASME B31.3 and related piping codes
- API standards
- Pipe stress analysis principles
- Materials selection and corrosion management
- P&IDs, piping layouts, and isometrics
- Experience with engineering design software and 3D modeling tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration or equivalent certification.
- Experience with FPSO, offshore production, Client, or marine facilities.
- Familiarity with offshore classification society requirements.
- Knowledge of process safety management and risk assessment methodologies.
- Experience supporting brownfield modifications and offshore construction activities.
- Previous involvement in commissioning, startup, or operational support projects.
