- Lead or assist in the development of facility or utility master plans.
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of wastewater treatment and conveyance projects.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and quality assurance.
- Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and internal teams.
- Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and engineering documents.
- Oversee permitting processes and ensure environmental and safety compliance.
- Conduct work to appropriate professional standards and to the firm’s QA/QC requirements. Participate in QA/QC programs for other projects as requested by managers.
- Perform schedule reviews on construction projects and maintain/develop schedules for design and construction of assigned projects.
- Mentor junior engineers and project staff.
- Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Lead proposal development efforts for new business.
- Grow relationships with existing and prospective clients; this includes business development, sales, and marketing.
- Support business development efforts, including proposal writing and client presentations.
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer license in Texas or ability to acquire it within six months of hire.
- 10+ years of water/wastewater design experience in municipal water, wastewater, water resource, and/or conveyance projects in the Central U.S. region; preference for 10 years in Texas.
- Significant experience in desalination plants, water and wastewater treatment, conveyance, and pump station projects.
- Experience coordinating and simultaneously managing multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail, schedule, and budget.
- Ability to present technical information, both written and orally, in a concise and professional manner; strong technical writing skills required.
- Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory/permitting agencies, including TCEQ and EPA.
