# Project Overview:

Bechtel's Manufacturing & Technology (M&T) Business Unit is designing and building an Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) Manufacturing Facility located at Generation Park in Houston, TX. Job Summary:

Bechtel is seeking a Senior Environmental/Water Engineer to join the engineering department within the Manufacturing and Technology Business Unit (M&T). Assigned to projects to independently develop and review environmental engineering deliverables and separate water treatment deliverables. Environmental work includes environmental basis documents, permit support, discharge criteria, and compliance-related design inputs. Water treatment includes water balances, design criteria, system schematics, equipment specifications, technical requisitions, and bid packages review.

# Major Responsibilities:

** Environmental:*
* +   Plan, execute, and review environmental engineering deliverables for technical accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project and regulatory requirements.

+   Develop environmental basis documents, permit support inputs, compliance matrices, discharge criteria summaries, and environmental design inputs for project execution.

+   Coordinate with permitting, environmental, engineering, construction, client, and other stakeholders to resolve environmental interfaces, risks, and compliance-related impacts.

** Water:*
* +   Plan, execute, and review water treatment deliverables, including water balances, design criteria, system schematics, equipment lists, specifications, and technical requisitions.

+   Coordinate water treatment scope with process, mechanical, civil, electrical, I&C, procurement, suppliers, construction, commissioning, validation, and client representatives.

+   Provide technical guidance on treatment technology selection, RO pretreatment protection, reject stream interfaces, supplier input needs, and execution impacts.
