Role Overview
A Proposal Development Engineer supports technical proposal creation and early-stage project activities, working across Engineering, Business Development, and Projects. Key responsibilities include developing customer-specific proposals using process simulation tools (preferably Pro Max), performing cost evaluations (CAPEX, OPEX, LCOH), preparing technical documentation, and enhancing internal tools. The role involves aiding in Front-End Loading (FEL) deliverables such as PFDs, P&IDs, equipment specs, and cost estimates, while collaborating with engineering teams to ensure scope, schedule, and budget adherence.
Qualifications & Skills- Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering
- 5+ years in engineering, feasibility studies, FEL, or proposals
- Strong fundamentals in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer
- Experience with process simulation (Pro Max preferred), PFDs, P&IDs
- Analytical, problem-solving, collaboration skills
- Effective communication skills
- Experience in energy industries
- Proficiency with Visio/Bluebeam
- Project management knowledge
This role offers a salary between $115,000 and $150,000, with benefits including health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and bonuses.
