** The Opportunity*
* + Lead communication designs and coordinate with other disciplines

+ Create conceptual and detailed systems designs, including producing design drawings, specifications and design analysis deliverables

+ Coordinate with a BIM/CAD team for drawing production

+ Perform quality control duties and independent technical reviews 

+ Manage assigned budgets, scopes and schedules 

+ Mentoring and providing guidance/instruction to less experienced staff members

+ Other potential duties: 

+ May perform fieldwork and write assessment reports 

+ May assist with creation of design guides and templates 

+ May provide support to business development or pursuit activitie

** Preferred Qualifications*
* As part of this role, you will be assigned to projects supporting U.S. Government Agency/Department clients. Due to the nature of the work, candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.  The following are preferred qualifications:

+ Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, EIA, TIA, BICSI industry standards, codes and best practices related to the design of Information and Communications Technology (ICT), low voltage, and telecommunications systems 

+ Strong knowledge of structured cabling systems from a safety and constructability perspective 

+ Strong knowledge of inside plant (ISP) cabling infrastructure to include telecommunications spaces and pathways, copper, and optical fiber cabling and connectivity

+ Experience in outside plant (OSP) design of copper and fiber optic communication systems

+ Experience in audio-visual (AV) system design

+ 4+ years of experience designing applicable telecommunication systems

+ Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) required

** Minimum Qualifications*
