Job Title
This role is responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, and reviewing design work within a small PD&P design group for medium-sized projects or assignments supporting the global business unit.
The position involves producing design documentation, coordinating cross-functional technical activities, ensuring compliance with standards, supporting project planning, developing departmental procedures, and mentoring junior team members.
Requirement/Must Have- Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8–10 years of relevant experience, or 12–14 years of relevant work experience.
- Sound knowledge of CAD design and drafting techniques, engineering drawings, graphic arts, drawing interpretation, and reproduction methods.
- Advanced experience with 3D modeling tools including AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
- Experience developing, managing, and maintaining BIM models with defined LOD specifications (LOD 100–500) for Plant Design and Piping.
- Experience with 3D modeling of complex piping systems, pipe supports, and mechanical equipment for large industrial manufacturing facilities such as semiconductor fabs or data centers.
- Previous modularization, OSM, or modular piping design project execution experience.
- Experience with multi-discipline interface management and global 3D model oversight.
- Expertise in reading, interpreting, and utilizing documents and drawings prepared by other project groups.
- Excellent listening, oral and written communication skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- 8–10 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree, or 12–14 years of relevant work experience.
- Plan, develop, coordinate, and review design work within a small PD&P design group for medium-sized projects or assignments.
- Produce drawings and documentation in accordance with established design scopes, including earthwork, drainage, road design, foundation, and steel detailing.
- Ensure PD&P system designs comply with applicable installation codes, regulations, and standards.
- Coordinate and interface with PD&P engineers, scientists, specialists, designers, and drafters as required.
- Communicate complex technical issues and recommend solutions to upper management.
- Facilitate technical discussions with clients, suppliers, and regulators.
- Prepare or oversee design estimates and work plans in alignment with project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring successful implementation.
- Develop Engineering Department Procedures, client design guides, Client Standard Computer Applications, and relevant administrative practices.
- Coordinate with client representatives to obtain approvals for project phases.
- Review key engineering drawings, calculations, and bid summaries.
- Mentor PD&P designers and drafters by providing on-the-job training for professional development.
- Experience working on large industrial projects such as semiconductor fabs or data centers.
- Strong CAD and 3D modeling skills.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
- Strong communication, planning, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to interpret and coordinate across multi-discipline teams.
- Bachelor's degree or international equivalent.
