Position: Construction Manager WPO (LSNA-TX)

As a Construction Manager, Work Package Owner (WPO), you’ll join our collaborative team providing our clients with award-winning planning, engineering, architectural design, construction management, and design-build project delivery. We are looking for a passionate Construction Manager WPO Professional in Houston, TX who is driven by collaboration, exceeding expectations, and challenging the status quo.

By developing and delivering on project scopes, budgets, reports, contracts, and schedules, you’ll help our teams achieve our client’s objectives. Your keen ability to multi-task, communicate effectively and tackle project challenges will allow you to thrive in our fast-paced environment. Here’s what you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, or other; or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree
  • 8+ years of construction management experience on large industrial, Life Sciences projects preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship building required.
  • Experience leading contractors and Superintendents for current scope, engineering information, and document drawings/specifications for construction execution.
  • Ability to manage scope of work from the initial Bid Phase, through Execution, turnover, and close out of the Subcontract
  • Experience in monitoring project budgets to ensure project requirements are met.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
  • Works closely with the Subcontracts Administration team to identify bidders
  • Attends any Pre-Bid, clarification and post-Bid meetings
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
  • Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base

The base salary range for this position is $ to $. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
