An innovative and rapidly growing advanced energy technology company is seeking a hands-on Lead Mechanical Engineer to help build and lead its Mechanical Engineering function.
This is a unique opportunity to join an organization at a pivotal stage of growth as it transitions from technology development into commercialization, deployment, and manufacturing scale-up. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping engineering processes, influencing technical strategy, and delivering complex mechanical systems in a highly collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design, development, and integration of complex mechanical systems and equipment
- Provide technical leadership for pressure vessels, piping systems, heat exchangers, process systems, and plant equipment
- Support equipment specification, procurement, manufacturing, testing, installation, and commissioning activities
- Apply industry codes and engineering standards to ensure safe and compliant designs
- Mentor engineers and help establish engineering best practices, standards, and processes
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and project teams
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- 10+ years of relevant engineering experience
- Strong experience with mechanical systems, process systems, plant systems, pressure vessels, piping, or related equipment
- Familiarity with ASME codes and industry standards
- Demonstrated technical leadership and project ownership
- Experience in nuclear, power generation, aerospace, defense, oil & gas, shipbuilding, EPC, or other highly regulated industries is highly desirable
