Project Manager - Water/Wastewater
AECOM is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Manager with a focus in water/wastewater infrastructure design and in-depth design engineering experience in municipal conveyance, treatment, and pumping systems in our Houston, TX office.
This role offers an opportunity to progress down the project management career path with a focus on client business growth, project delivery leadership and mentoring of engineering staff by leveraging top notch regional and national water/wastewater engineering expertise and capabilities. The appropriately qualified applicant will have the opportunity to manage and work with an established team of professional engineers on a variety of water, wastewater, and conveyance design projects.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Serves as Project Manager on medium to large water/wastewater treatment plants and pump station projects
- Prepares technical memoranda, planning studies and final design calculations, plans and specifications
- Provides technical direction and mentorship for junior staff
- Coordinates with other discipline leads, clients, consultants, and agencies in management and implementation of projects
- Participates all aspects of project delivery, including scope, schedule, finance, and quality
- Builds and maintain relationships with clients and industry professionals
- Assists in identifying opportunities, development of proposals and statement of qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS and 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications:
- 8+ years of water infrastructure design experience
- Texas Professional Engineer (PE) in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or able to obtain licensure within 6 months
- Experience working on municipal projects
- Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
