As a Health, Safety, & Environment University New Hire with Phillips 66 you will provide supervised direct technical safety, occupational health, or environmental services for an operation or an organization. These services may include regulatory review and interpretation, technical calculations and estimations, preparation of applications for regulatory approvals and reports, and development of programs, plans, and proposals.

Required Qualifications Requirements for a Phillips 66 University New Hire
  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • Willing and able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC). Information can be found at https://www.tsa.gov/for-industry/twic
  • Depending on the specific position, you must be willing and able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to maintain your face daily so that a respirator/face mask can seal properly (some examples include being free of facial hair and/or clean shaven)
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Environmental Sciences, Industrial Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, Health & Safety, or related technical field
  • Expected graduation date between December 2026 to Spring/Summer 2027
Preferred Qualifications
  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Previous internship with Phillips 66
  • Previous internship or co-op participant in related industry
  • Willing to work in any of our operating locations
  • Valid driver's license
Compensation Range

This position has a base salary range of $87,400 – $108,300, dependent on a candidate’s degree type and level of education. This position will be subject to a post-offer background check, which could include criminal history screening, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws. We are committed to fair hiring practices and comply with all relevant regulations, including ‘Ban the Box’ and Fair Chance laws.

All qualified applicants will be considered regardless of criminal history, and any background check will be conducted only after a conditional offer of employment has been made. This position may be eligible for the Phillips 66 geographic differential pay program contingent upon location. Details and terms to be conveyed in offer of employment if eligible.
