Responsibilities
- Work under project engineers on the application of various design engineering and modeling techniques in the development of water resource projects for federal, state and local municipalities.
- Focus on hydraulics and hydrology modeling, stormwater collection systems modeling, data collection, assimilation, and presentations.
- Work on projects including flood control, river design, stream grade control structures, dike systems, levees, stream channel restoration/rehabilitation, wetland and lake restoration, watershed issues and non-point source loading and point source design.
- Produce design calculations, draft technical reports and perform water resources studies.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.
- Candidates without an EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, standard CAD platforms such as AutoCAD, and hydraulic modeling software.
- Self‑motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of tasks.
- Demonstrated commitment to participating in an employee‑owned culture.
