Senior Production Engineer

We’re currently representing a $1.2B chemical manufacturing company based in Houston, TX, that is seeking a Unit Lead - Senior Production Engineer to serve as a vital resource for Operations by applying technical skills to optimize plant operations, resolve plant problems, and enable safe and efficient production of low cost, quality products.

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering is required.
• A minimum of 6 years of operations, engineering, manufacturing in chemical manufacturing or oil & gas industry.
• Leadership experience is required.
• Ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position.

• Partner with operations and technical teams to optimize plant performance, resolve process issues, and apply best practices and Most Effective Technology (MET).
• Provide technical expertise in process improvement, advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor plant operations through KPI reviews, process trends, logs, and alarm history to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, reliability, and raw material utilization.
• Maintain a strong field presence by reinforcing operating procedures, documenting operating discipline, and supporting safe and effective plant operations.
• Serve as a technical lead during plant upsets, emergencies, and unplanned events, ensuring timely response and resolution.
• Ensure compliance with operating permits, support site integration efforts, and contribute to overall system optimization.
