Commissioning Engineer – Data Center

We are looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join a major data center project in Houston, TX on an initial 12-month contract.

You will support the commissioning, testing and handover of critical mechanical, electrical and controls systems, working closely with contractors, vendors, engineers and the wider project team.

• Support commissioning and start-up of critical data center systems.
• Develop and execute commissioning and testing procedures.
• Coordinate testing activities with contractors, vendors and project teams.
• Support FAT, SAT, pre-functional and functional performance testing.
• Assist with Integrated Systems Testing (IST).
• Identify and resolve commissioning issues and deficiencies.
• Witness testing of mechanical, electrical and controls systems.
• Track commissioning progress, punch lists and closeout documentation.
• Support final system handover and project closeout.

• 3+ years' commissioning experience, ideally within data centers or other mission-critical environments
  .
• Strong understanding of MEP systems and commissioning processes.
• Experience with large-scale construction projects.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications and commissioning documentation.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Northern Virginia for the duration of the project.

Experience with
UPS, generators, switch gear, transformers, MV/LV distribution, chillers, cooling towers, CRAH/CRAC units, HVAC, BMS and controls would be highly beneficial.

Previous experience with IST, FAT/SAT, start-up and energization is also desirable.
