Responsibilities

The Asset Team Lead (ATL) plays a critical role in Citation's long-term success, sustainability, and growth. The successful candidate will lead a multidisciplinary subsurface technical team responsible for optimizing the development of the Company's Rocky Mountain assets while driving the identification, evaluation, and maturation of new value-creating opportunities across the region.

  • Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of reservoir engineers, geoscientists, and technicians responsible for optimizing asset performance, maximizing reserve recovery, and creating long-term value across Citation's Rocky Mountain Region.
  • Build and maintain a high-performing technical organization through effective staffing, coaching, performance management, succession planning, compensation recommendations, training, and departmental budget oversight.
  • Direct reservoir engineering activities for primary and secondary recovery assets, including reserve estimation, production forecasting, economic evaluations, project generation, performance analysis (lookbacks), and capital planning.
  • Identify, evaluate, and mature value-enhancing development opportunities that increase oil and gas production, grow reserves, improve operating efficiency, and maximize financial performance.
  • Works in a team environment with geologists, reservoir and production engineers, landmen, operations, and field personnel to identify, prioritize, and execute capital projects that align with corporate objectives and capital allocation priorities.
  • Lead integrated field studies to identify reserve growth opportunities, including recompletions, infill drilling, field optimization initiatives, and secondary recovery projects for Capital Allocation Committee (CAC) consideration.
  • Serve as Project Leader for designated capital projects, providing overall technical leadership and accountability for safe, timely, and cost-effective execution while delivering expected business results.
  • Monitor asset performance against operational and financial objectives, proactively identifying risks and opportunities to improve production, reserves, and profitability.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry best practices, and innovative reservoir management techniques, incorporating new approaches that enhance asset value and economic recovery.
  • Serve as a senior technical leader and mentor, fostering the professional development of engineers, geoscientists, and other technical staff while promoting collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Water flood Experience is required
Education
  • 15+ years of reservoir engineering experience perferred
Physical Requirements
  • Typically works indoors in an office setting, with some traveling required to COGC’s region offices or other oil industry offices. Occasional travel to field operations is required.
