** The Opportunity*
* This opportunity with Black & Veatch offers the chance to collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams within the Water Solution business, supporting a diverse portfolio of municipal and industrialwater, wastewater, stormwater, water treatment, and water conveyance projects. Mechanical andpiping design professionals play a critical role in developing treatment facility layouts, process piping systems, pump stations, utility infrastructure, and other water-related facilities that help clientsdeliver safe, reliable, and sustainable water services to their communities.

The Virtual Design & Data Solutions (VDDS) Lead Engineering Technician (Level 17) will be responsible for leading mechanical and piping design teams in the development of high-quality engineering deliverables for complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This position performsadvanced technical tasks requiring expert-level knowledge of mechanical and piping design principles,industry standards, and best practices. The Lead Engineering Technician will provide technical leadership, coordinate design activities across disciplines, mentor and develop junior staff, and support the successful execution of project deliverables.

Responsibilities include creating, modeling, andmodifying mechanical and piping systems using industry-standard design platforms such as Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD, while ensuring compliance with project requirements, quality standards, and client expectations.
