Environmental Health Safety Specialist

SAFE Consulting, Inc. is looking to hire an EHS safety professional with at least 5 years of experience. A Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, fire safety, engineering, or another applicable discipline required.

About the Role

Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards, HAZWOPER Certification, OSHA 30 or any other safety training are required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety training on topics such as Fall Protection, LO/TO, HAZWOPER Forklift Safety, etc.
• Prepare written reports and policies, gap analyses, and root cause analyses.
• Develop and assist with the implementation of safety programs for clients across various industries.
• Independently conduct site audits and inspections.
• Commuicate and collaborate with clients regarding safety and compliance needs.
• Interact with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies, as needed.
• Be comfortable driving to different client sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, fire safety, engineering, or another applicable discipline required.

Required Skills

• Good organizational, written, and verbal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive), and EHS/safety management software.
• Ability to wear and work in Level C personal protective equipment.
• Valid Drivers License.
• Reliable access to personal vehicle.
• Ability to travel throughout the Houston area.
