Lead Electrical Engineer Service Engineering

Powell Industries is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer, Service Engineering to drive advanced electrical solutions for enterprise software and tech infrastructure projects. In this role, you will lead design, troubleshooting, and optimization of electrical systems supporting our software platforms and data environments. You will guide a small team, define service standards, and collaborate with software, IT, and product teams to ensure reliable, safe, and scalable deployments.

You'll mentor engineers, interface with key clients on complex issues, and champion continuous improvement in a fast-paced, innovation-driven culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, testing, and optimization of electrical systems supporting software and IT infrastructure.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for critical customer and internal issues.
• Define and maintain service engineering standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical review and coaching.
• Collaborate with software, IT, and product teams to ensure reliable, scalable solutions.
• Manage service engineering projects, timelines, and stakeholder communication.
• Prepare technical documentation, diagrams, and reports for internal and external use.
• Support pre-sales and post-sales engineering discussions with key clients.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in reliability, safety, and performance.
• Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards.
