Job Title
Midwest multi-disciplined engineering firm is looking to add an Electrical/Controls Engineer to their Houston team!
Job DescriptionResponsibilities:
Lead design efforts for projects Provide constructability review for electrical and automation design documents Provide quality and coordination review of shop drawing and O&M submittals Mentor/train junior staff Design electrical distribution systems (including one-line diagrams, plan drawings, panel schedules, and equipment elevations) Design automation, controls, and related SCADA systems for water/wastewater processes (including communications, PLC architecture, instrumentation, and related software and hardware) Prepare specifications (electrical, instrumentation, and process controls) Prepares Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) Prepares detailed control panel wiring schematics, panel layouts, bills of material, communication diagrams, etc.
Review instrumentation/control system submittal packages Review/update design standards to ensure compliance with applicable codes, industry standards, and good engineering practice Visit job sites on occasion
Requirements: B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology 6+ years of Electrical/Controls Engineer experience PE License preferred Advanced computer skills required Experience in AutoCAD and Visio preferred Salary is commensurate with experience.
