This position will work in a team environment with a Principal, Senior Project Managers, other Project Managers, Design Engineers, and Designers. The Project Manager will be responsible for conceptualizing the initial design approach for a major phase of a large project or have overall responsibility for the engineering work on a project of limited scope. They will plan, schedule, conduct and coordinate engineering work involving conventional engineering practices but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements.

Supervision of less experienced engineers or technical support personnel is exercised on an assignment basis. Typically, a Project Manager is an Engineer IV and is a fully competent Engineer who performs work involving the application of all conventional aspects of the subject matter of the functional area of the assignment. Exercises judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria.

  • Responsible for managing the engineering development of construction drawings, technical specifications, and reports. May be the Engineer of Record
  • Responsible for communications with the Client
  • Responsible for development of scopes of services and proposals
  • Responsible for addressing the Client’s needs and wants for individual projects
  • Attendance of external meetings during and outside of normal working hours (expenses are reimbursed)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Professional Engineer in the State of Texas, or applying for a Professional Engineer License
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and possess an accommodating and proactive attitude
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite
