Cost Manager

Jones Lang LaSalle Americas, Inc. is seeking a Cost Manager to lead MEP construction cost management for complex commercial real estate projects. You will develop detailed estimates and budgets, analyze bids, manage cost tracking, and support value engineering across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing scopes. Responsibilities

• Lead cost management for MEP scopes across commercial real estate projects from concept through closeout
• Prepare and validate cost plans, estimates, budgets, and cash flows for MEP systems
• Analyze bids, negotiate with contractors, and support procurement decisions to ensure cost and value optimization
• Track and report cost performance, variances, and risks; recommend corrective actions to stakeholders
• Review drawings, specifications, and change orders for cost and constructability impacts
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to align scope, budget, and schedule
• Support value engineering, lifecycle cost analysis, and sustainability-focused cost solutions
• Maintain cost databases, benchmarks, and market intel for MEP trades
• Ensure compliance with company standards, contracts, and client reporting requirements
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to best-practice development
