Engineering Director, Utilities​/Electrical

Jones Lang LaSalle Americas, Inc. (JLL) seeks an Engineering Director, Utilities/Electrical to lead the strategy, reliability, and optimization of power and utility systems across a portfolio of commercial properties. In this role, you will oversee electrical distribution, standby power, and building utilities, directing capital projects from concept through commissioning. You will ensure compliance with codes and safety standards, manage vendors, and drive energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead utilities and electrical engineering strategy across a portfolio of commercial real estate assets.
• Oversee design, operation, and reliability of power distribution and utility systems.
• Manage capital improvement projects from scope and budgeting through execution and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Drive energy efficiency, sustainability, and resilience initiatives for building systems.
• Manage vendor and contractor performance and negotiate technical scopes of work.
• Provide technical guidance to facility management and project teams.
• Develop and track KPIs for system performance, uptime, and cost optimization.
• Mentor and develop a team of engineers and technical specialists.
• Collaborate with clients to align engineering solutions with business and sustainability goals.
