Environmental Specialist

Base pay range

$90,000.00/yr - $/yr

Sr. Environmental Specialist for global specialty chemicals company with a production site in Houston, Texas (east side of Houston).

• Primary responsibility of this role is managing the site's solid waste and supporting the Quality Control Laboratory operations.
• Ensure compliance with all AIMS HESQ policies & practices including ISO-9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and RCMS.
• Have responsibility for the Potable Water Systems.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental, Engineering, Chemistry or other related technical field OR Associate’s Degree or relevant certifications may be considered with demonstrated knowledge and years of service taken into account.
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in the day-to-day involvement in HES activities and handling hazardous & non-hazardous waste.
• Basic knowledge of state and federal health, safety, and environmental regulations required, with a demonstrated desire to become proficient in all reporting requirements.
• Possess class D license for potable water operator or ability to obtain one. Certified forklift operator.
• The Sr. Environmental Specialist is responsible for completing routine and special analytical sample requests as received. Completion of all routine and non-routine solid waste activities. Manage the potable and storm/wastewater discharge requirements.
