Job Summary:
- Design Engineers create and maintain drawings, software code, BOMs and documents for electrical/mechanical equipment in compliance with written specifications.
- Interface with various departments like manufacturing, customer service, supply chain, production/planning, etc.
- Should be familiar with machinery and shop trades that will build the items designed.
- Assist in building and testing new designs.
- Check drawings/documents of other Designers and Design Engineers.
Responsibilities:
- Familiarity of basic industrial industry standards
- Familiarity of internal ISO procedures
- Document control
- CAD
- Drawing creation & maintenance
- BOM maintenance
- Support production control and assembly personnel
- Assembly and testing of new designs
- Multi task ability to handle several projects at the same time
- Software maintenance & testing
Skills & Experience:
- 0+ years of experience in an industrial electrical/mechanical/software field
- Experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment preferred
- CAD experience preferred (Mechanical/Electrical)
- Proficient in 2 or more programming languages (Software)
- 3D Modeling Experience Preferred (Mechanical)
- Strong organization and excellent time management skills.
- Engineering modeling and analysis software experience preferred
Computer, Hand tools, Power tools, Meters, Scope, etc.
- Minimum BS in an Engineering or Technical field
- Innovative Problem-Solving
Skills:
Demonstrate a track record of creative thinking and the ability to devise innovative solutions to complex mechanical engineering challenges. - Hands-on Experience with Creo Parametric or Solid works and AutoCAD Software:
Proficiency in utilizing industry-leading tools such as Creo Parametric or Solid Works and AutoCAD to design, model, and analyze mechanical systems. - Interdisciplinary
Collaboration:
Ability to work seamlessly with professionals from diverse disciplines, fostering a collaborative and holistic approach to engineering projects. - Effective Communication
Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills to facilitate clear and efficient collaboration within multidisciplinary teams. - Project Management Abilities:
Proven skills in project planning, execution, and successful delivery, showcasing the ability to manage and lead projects effectively
Travel:
- Limited as needed
