This role involves designing, developing, and deploying robotic control systems for supporting drilling operations in challenging environments, primarily in the land drilling sector, on land drilling rigs.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop robotic systems for oil and gas drilling and pipe-handling applications.
- Integrate sensors and control systems for autonomous drilling, pipe-handling, manipulation, and data acquisition.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to prototype and test robotic control solutions.
- Develop software for real-time control, telemetry, and remote operation of robotic platforms.
- Conduct field trials and validation tests.
- Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Analyze performance data and optimize robotic systems.
- Document engineering processes, test results, and system configurations.
