Audubon is currently seeking a Senior Piping Designer to join our team in our Houston, TX Office. The Senior Piping Designer will develop detailed piping layouts and 3D models for capital projects, ensuring designs are constructible, code-compliant, and coordinated across all disciplines. You'll lead design activities, guide junior designers, and support projects from concept through construction.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop piping layouts, plans, isometrics, and 3D models using tools such as E3D, or Cad Worx
- Perform equipment and piping arrangement studies, ensuring accessibility, operability, and maintainability
- Coordinate with process, mechanical, civil/structural, and electrical disciplines to resolve interferences
- Conduct model reviews (30/60/90%) and incorporate client and constructability feedback
- Review vendor drawings and support material take-offs (MTOs) and field queries
- Mentor junior designers and check deliverables for quality and standards compliance
Health, Safety, and Environmental Responsibilities:

- Performing duties in a manner that protects personal and team health and safety
- Participating in required HSE training, meetings, and reporting activities
- Identifying and reporting hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions
- Following safe work practices and complying with applicable regulatory requirements
- Associate degree or technical diploma in drafting/design (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years of piping design experience in oil & gas projects
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software and navigation tools like Navisworks
- Strong knowledge of ASME B31.3, B31.4 and B31.8, pipe supports, and piping material specifications
- Solid understanding of P&IDs, stress considerations, and construction practices
