  • Design structural, geotechnical, and civil elements for marine, waterfront, and industrial projects.
  • Perform analysis and design of foundations, retaining walls, piers, trestles, ATONs, and other structures.
  • Apply soil structure interaction principles under gravity and lateral loading.
  • Perform structural analysis, design, and detailing of concrete, steel, and timber structures.
  • Develop constructible design plans, technical details, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Prepare design calculations under the direction of senior engineers.
  • Prepare engineering reports, technical studies, and design documentation.
  • Coordinate drawing packages from IFR through IFC.
  • Participate in construction support and field inspections.
  • Inspect and evaluate existing waterfront structures.
  • Support rehabilitation and repair projects for marine structures.
  • Develop inspection reports as required.
  • Interface with port authorities, U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, private companies, and other clients.
  • Perform design checks as part of quality assurance and engineering best practices.
  • Help resolve design issues through field investigations, inspections, detailed design, and technical analysis.
  • Review and check design computations prepared by other engineers.
  • Utilize structural, geotechnical, marine, and drafting software for project development.
  • Support engineering teams with project schedules, specifications, cost estimates, and technical deliverables.
  • Travel throughout the United States and internationally for inspections and project requirements.

Qualifications And Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Maritime Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • EIT registration required.
  • PE license preferred.
  • Marine engineering or structural engineering experience required.
  • Experience with waterfront, marine, port, or industrial structures preferred.
  • Knowledge of structural design involving concrete, steel, and timber.
  • Understanding of foundations, retaining walls, piers, trestles, mooring structures, and other waterfront structures.
  • Knowledge of soil structure interaction and gravity and lateral loading.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
