Job Description & How to Apply Below

This is a role for someone who wants to sit at the intersection of engineering, data, and real-world infrastructure impact. You’ll work directly with municipal wastewater systems, using modeling and data analysis to influence how major cities plan, upgrade, and optimize critical sewer networks.

You won’t just be running models—you’ll be interpreting data, identifying system risks, and helping shape infrastructure decisions that affect thousands of people. It’s a strong opportunity to build deep technical expertise while gaining exposure to large-scale public sector projects.

The Role

You’ll support the planning, modeling, and analysis of wastewater collection systems, working closely with municipal stakeholders and engineering teams.

This role blends hydraulic modeling, GIS, and data analysis, giving you hands‑on experience with industry-leading tools and real infrastructure challenges.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Develop and run hydraulic models for wastewater collection systems (gravity sewers & force mains)
  • Analyze system performance to identify capacity issues, overflows, and optimization opportunities
  • Work with large datasets from municipal systems to support planning and upgrade decisions
  • Use GIS tools to map, visualize, and interpret infrastructure data
  • Support permitting and coordination for sewer and pipeline projects within public ROW
  • Collaborate with engineers, planners, and municipal teams to deliver actionable insights
  • Prepare technical reports, summaries, and recommendations
What They’re Looking For
  • 3–10 years of experience in wastewater modeling, infrastructure planning, or related fields
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience working on municipal wastewater or sewer system projects
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data
Technical Skills
  • Experience with modeling tools such as Info Works ICM, Info Sewer, SewerCAD, or similar
  • Proficiency with GIS platforms (e.g., ESRI ArcGIS)
  • Comfortable working with data, software tools, and computer-based analysis
  • Understanding of wastewater system design, hydraulics, and infrastructure planning
Why This Role Stands Out

You’ll gain hands‑on experience with real municipal systems, working on projects that directly impact infrastructure resilience and long‑term planning. The role offers a strong balance of technical development, practical application, and career progression within a growing sector.

If you’re looking to move beyond pure design or modeling into a role where your work influences real‑world decisions, this is a strong next step.
