Telecom Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot telecommunications infrastructure and network systems.
• Support the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of telecom towers, shelters, and critical power systems.
• Configure, monitor, and optimize microwave radio networks, including:
  • Point-to-Point (PTP) systems
  • Point-to-Multipoint (PTMP) systems
  • Licensed and unlicensed frequency solutions
• Perform network performance analysis and troubleshoot service disruptions to ensure high network availability.
• Support OSP fiber network deployment, testing, maintenance, and fault resolution.
• Coordinate with field teams, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders to execute network projects.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company procedures.
• Maintain accurate network documentation, reports, and technical records.

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in telecommunications engineering or network infrastructure.
• Proven experience with:
  • Telecom towers, shelters, and critical power systems
  • Microwave radio technologies (PTP, PTMP, licensed and unlicensed)
  • OSP fiber network deployment and maintenance
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, network diagrams, and engineering documentation.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.

• Experience with network monitoring and performance management tools.
• Knowledge of fiber testing equipment such as OTDR and power meters.
• Familiarity with telecom industry standards and best practices.
• Relevant telecom certifications are an added advantage.
