Hatch is seeking a dynamic Junior CSA Estimator
. Reporting to the Project Delivery Group
, you will support offices globally working from our Houston, TX office location.

- Roles at this level are filled by recent or soon to be university/college graduates with little or no professional experience but possessing relevant skills
- Preferred bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil, structural, or electrical engineering
- Minimum of a cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
- Understand estimating scope of work, deliverables, schedule of execution, estimate structure, formats, reports etc.
- Review and understand estimate plan
- Deliver accurate and comprehensive estimates in accordance with estimating procedures, standards and practices
- Calculate direct and indirect costs from a first principle basis or factorization as applicable
- Calculate cash expenditure, predicted escalation over project duration
- Monitor and upgrade estimating database
- Gain valuable on-site practical experience
- Strong MS Office applications skills
- Knowledge of AACE estimating standards
- Experience with estimating tools and systems
- Commercial/ contractual knowledge
- Site experience including hands on knowledge of production rates
- Knowledge of risk and uncertainty management
- Previous co-op or internship experience is an asset
- Good understanding of engineering and business fundamentals as they apply to engineering problems and projects
- Ability to learn quickly and to take on new challenges
- Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Shows critical and creative thinking and problem solving and brings forward solutions for our clients' toughest challenges
