Junior Mechanical Engineer Position Overview

Join CAM Integrated Solutions in Houston as a Junior Mechanical Engineer, where you'll work underthe guidance of senior mechanical engineers to support the design, analysis,documentation, and execution of mechanical engineering projects across sectors like energy, fabrication, and automation.

CAM Integrated Solutions provides full-cycle EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management) services—from concept through construction—across upstream,midstream, transmission, gas utilities, clean energy, and more.

• Support mechanical systems design and analysis, including static and rotating equipment, thermal systems, and mechanical components.
• Assist with preparation of technical deliverables—such as mechanical design packages, Vendor RFQs, and technical bid evaluations.
• Help maintain and update project documentation (e.g., scopes of work, schedules, material specifications).
• Collaborate with Project Managers to manage deliverable timelines and coordinate multi-disciplinary reviews.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOP/PHA sessions, and vendor coordination meetings.
• Support revisions and check work performed by peers, ensuring compliance with CAM’s standards and procedures
• Contribute to resolving technical issues raised by vendors or internal teams, and assist with field walk-downs and vendor documentation checks.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering(ABET-accredited preferred).
• Fundamental knowledge of mechanical engineering principles (e.g., thermodynamics, mechanics, materials).
• Basic proficiency with technical documentation tools (e.g., mechanical drawings, CAD, Excel).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn CAM's internal standards and procedures.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S., preferably local to Houston.

• Academic or internship experience in sectors like oil & gas, energy, fabrication, or midstream processing.
• Exposure to static and rotating mechanical equipment, or familiarity with mechanical engineering standards.
• Some experience with vendor management, RFQs, or technical bid reviews.
• Knowledge of or interest in mechanical design tools like Solid Works, AutoCAD, or CFD/thermal analysis tools.
• Interest in pursuing PE licensure, though not required.
