As a Mechanical Commissioning Agent II, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of critical mechanical systems in mission-critical facilities. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, collaborate with industry experts, and contribute to the success of complex data center operations.
Candidates should be prepared for a fast-paced environment and frequent travel to project sites nationwide.
- Commission and test critical mechanical systems, including generators, CRAC units, rooftop AHUs, humidifiers, sprinkler systems, chillers, cooling towers, chilled water pumps, exhaust fans, and related infrastructure within data center environments.
- Review design packages, engineering drawings, specifications, and equipment submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Support factory acceptance testing (FAT) and integrated systems testing to verify system performance and reliability.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive operations and maintenance documentation for mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mechanical infrastructure during commissioning and testing phases.
- Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
- Travel up to 75% to support project assignments at client sites and data center construction projects across the United States and Canada.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- 3-5 years of experience in commissioning, engineering, construction, or critical facilities environments.
- Previous experience working in data centers or other mission-critical facilities required.
- Hands-on experience with commissioning and testing HVAC, chilled water, and other mechanical infrastructure systems.
- Familiarity with IEEE and ASHRAE standards and industry best practices preferred.
- Proficient in reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, and equipment submittals.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to document and communicate findings effectively to clients and project teams.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% for project assignments.
