Houston North Plasma Center Technician

About the role

Part‑time position at Bio Life Plasma Collection Centers. Shifts are typically 4 to 6 hours long, 3 or more days per week, and include evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet donor needs. The role requires flexibility and reliability to support the center’s operations.

• Answer phones and greet donors, ensuring safety and high‑quality customer service.
• Screen new and repeat donors, take and record donor vital signs and finger‑stick results.
• Use the Donor Information System to prepare charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and initiate changes to center processes using company‑approved procedures.
• Work a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk, stand, lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees for the entire shift.
• Capability to lift up to 5 lbs., occasionally up to 32 lbs., and rarely up to 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and an ability to hear equipment from a distance.
• Experience in a customer or patient‑facing role (minimum 1 year preferred).
• Willingness to wear gloves for prolonged periods due to potential exposure to blood borne pathogens (risk level
  1).
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Hourly wage: $16.00 (subject to local minimum wage requirements). U.S. employees may be eligible for short‑term incentives and additional benefits such as 401(k) matching, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, and paid time off.
