Base pay range

$85,000.00/yr - $/yr

Clayton Services is searching for a Tax Analyst to join a thriving company in West Houston. The Tax Analyst will be responsible for supporting advisors and providing accurate tax analysis and planning strategies for clients.

Tax Analyst Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review federal, state, and trust estimated tax calculations and payment vouchers.
  • Provide recommendations to optimize client tax strategies and planning opportunities.
  • Analyze and interpret outputs from financial planning and tax software.
  • Assist in preparing asset allocations, rebalance schedules, and related reporting using Excel.
  • Develop and issue quarterly client invoices and support billing processes.
  • Collect and organize data for quarterly investment or committee meetings.
  • Complete a variety of analytical assignments and special projects as needed.
  • Perform administrative duties to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Tax Analyst

Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; quick to learn new software tools.
  • Self-starter who can work independently while collaborating in a team setting.
  • High level of integrity, sound judgment, and professionalism.
  • Receptive to feedback and committed to continuous improvement.
Tax Analyst

Education and Experience:
  • CPA or Enrolled Agent designation preferred, or actively pursuing CPA.
  • Minimum of 5 years of individual tax preparation experience.
  • Experience with individual federal, state, or trust returns strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of investments is a plus, but not required.
