Tax Senior Manager
Mosher Seifert + Co, PC is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Tax Senior Manager to join our growing team in our Clear Lake office. This individual will play a key leadership role in overseeing complex tax engagements, managing significant client relationships, and guiding the strategic development of the tax practice. The ideal candidate is a licensed CPA with advanced technical expertise, proven leadership capabilities, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and review complex individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax engagements.
- Provide advanced technical tax guidance and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and primary relationship manager for key clients.
- Oversee engagement planning, staffing, budgeting, and scheduling to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
- Research and resolve complex tax issues, providing well-documented conclusions and recommendations.
- Identify, develop, and implement tax planning strategies to optimize client outcomes.
- Mentor, coach, and develop managers and staff, fostering both technical excellence and professional growth.
- Collaborate closely with partners on firm initiatives, process improvements, and business development efforts.
- Stay current on tax law changes and proactively communicate implications to clients and internal teams.
- CPA Certification is required for this role.
- 8 years or more of recent tax experience in public accounting.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex tax engagements and client relationships.
- Proven leadership experience in mentoring and developing teams.
- In‑depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance and regulations.
- Proficiency in tax software (CCH).
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Commitment to client service excellence and continuous professional development.
