As the Multi-Unit Team Leader, you’ll provide leadership over three H&R Block tax offices. You’ll lead customer-centric teams to accelerate seasonal tax business, deliver an outstanding client experience, and achieve office growth objectives. Prior tax preparation experience is not required.
You will start a flexible part-time schedule in the fall to prepare for the busy tax season. From January to April, you will transition to full-time, including evening and weekend hours as needed. This role is in-person (not remote).
Responsibilities- Provide leadership and development for associates across three tax offices.
- Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office staff.
- Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics with support from Associate Team Leaders.
- Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office growth plans and client growth targets, including developing local partnerships and community involvement.
- Assist DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions.
- Conduct timely performance reviews; partner with the Associate Relations Center to resolve issues and address performance concerns.
- Foster an engaging team environment across all offices through coaching and recognition of outstanding contributions.
- Prepare associate work schedules and ensure accurate timekeeping and labor management; travel between offices as required.
- Prepare tax returns as needed, after successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment.
- People management experience with the ability to grow and develop associates.
- Aptitude for executing growth plans and leading toward a growth-oriented culture.
- Strong decision-making and judgment skills; capable of functioning in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset.
- Computer proficiency with MS Office.
- Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma with equivalent experience.
- Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).
