Join Our Team as Director of Accounts Receivable (AR) – Southeast
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Accounts Receivable (AR) to lead and oversee accounts receivable operations across the Southeast region. This role is responsible for driving timely cash collections, ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations, and supporting strong revenue cycle performance across assigned facilities.
The Director of AR plays a critical role in protecting cash flow, improving operational processes, and partnering with leadership to achieve organizational financial goals.
Your Impact as Director of Accounts Receivable (AR)As a divisional leader, you will provide oversight, direction, and accountability for AR operations while collaborating closely with finance and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight of Accounts Receivable operations across assigned facilities
- Drive timely and accurate cash collection while reducing days in accounts receivable
- Partner with divisional leaders to establish, monitor, and enforce AR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Oversee billing, payment posting, collections, and account reconciliation processes
- Analyze AR aging reports, trends, and performance metrics; implement corrective action plans as needed
- Partner with facility leadership to resolve billing issues, denials, and payment delays
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, payer, and internal financial requirements
- Lead, coach, and develop AR managers and staff to meet performance expectations
- Support audits, reporting requests, and financial reviews
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with finance leadership to align AR strategy with organizational goals
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred
- 5+ years of regional Accounts Receivable experience within Skilled Nursing or Long-Term Care
- Strong background leading AR or revenue cycle operations
- Proven experience managing teams and driving performance
- Solid understanding of AR processes, collections, and financial controls
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement effective solutions
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
