Part qualified Actuarial Analyst

Our Client a leading financial services holding company engaged in property and casualty insurance and reinsurance and investment management are looking to attract a Part-Qualified Actuary for their business on a 12 month contract basis.

• Assist in the quarterly valuation of loss reserves for a number of Group Subsidiaries (approx. $500m GWP), covering multiple territories and lines of business.
• Prepare actuarial exhibits and support the Financial Reporting and Claims teams, including reserve development commentary, cash-flow projections, regulatory deliverables, and Appointed Actuary report inputs.
• Perform data validation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and identifying opportunities to improve data quality and data processing.
• Support the IFRS 17 Actuarial Project Lead in implementing and testing new IFRS
  17 reporting software.

• Minimum 2.1 honours degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics
• Relevant non-life insurance experience including understanding of non-life reserving techniques and actuarial principles.
• Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, accuracy and attention to detail
• Advanced Excel skills; VBA beneficial. Familiarity with actuarial or modelling tools used in reserving/reporting functions (e.g. ResQ)
• Knowledge or experience with IFRS 17 methodologies
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage deadlines.
