Regulatory Accountant (FERC Experience)

Salary: $110k - $125k w/ bonus

Regulatory Accountant Key Responsibilities

Regulatory & Financial Reporting

• Prepare assigned rate case cost of service schedules and respond to subsequent data requests
• Support quarterly and annual FERC filings for regulated midstream entities
• Quarterly (Form 3Q – assigned pages)
• Annual (Forms 2 & 2A – assigned pages)
• Other regulatory filings as required
• Prepare monthly recurring and adjusting FERC ledger entries
• Perform quarterly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve identified issues timely

Planning, Tax & Audit Support

• Provide key data to the U.S. Planning & Cost Accounting group for budgeting and forecasting
• Deliver financial information to the Income & Property Tax teams
• Respond to requests from external auditors and Internal Audit

Process Improvement & Projects

• Identify and execute process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency
• Support special projects and provide cross-training/back-up for team members as needed

Regulatory Accountant Ideal Background

• Bachelor’s in Accounting
• Experience with regulated accounting, FERC reporting, or energy/midstream strongly preferred
• Strong reconciliation, journal entry, and financial analysis experience
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage deadlines and compliance requirements
• Excel proficiency; SAP/Workiva
