We are seeking an experienced Wealth Planner to lead the delivery and execution of comprehensive wealth management strategies for high-net-worth and private wealth clients in the Houston market. This role is deeply relationship-driven and planning-centric, focused on strengthening client loyalty, deepening existing relationships, and cultivating new opportunities through referrals within branch networks.

This position partners closely with financial advisors, wealth managers on the team to implement sophisticated planning strategies and serve as a subject matter expert across complex client situations. The ideal candidate brings strong technical planning expertise, emotional intelligence, and a proven ability to guide clients through life-stage decisions while growing a personal book of business.

This role requires an on-site presence in Houston and cannot be performed remotely from another state.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain trusted, multigenerational relationships with high-net-worth clients and their families through exceptional service and strong emotional intelligence.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert supporting Financial Consultants and branch teams in developing and implementing effective planning strategies.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive wealth management plans, including Cash flow analysis, Investment strategy alignment, Retirement planning, Income and asset protection, Tax strategies, and Estate and family wealth considerations
  • Leverage insights from behavioral economics and family dynamics to tailor planning solutions that align with client goals and values.
  • Guide clients through implementation of financial plans, ensuring recommendations translate into meaningful outcomes.
  • Support branch teams in identifying and cultivating new private wealth relationships through referrals and internal lead generation.
  • Demonstrate a successful history in fiduciary planning, asset management, and client retention within high-priority, fast-paced environments.
  • Collaborate across the organization to support planning excellence and consistent client experience.
The Day-to-Day
  • Act as a trusted adviser, counselor, and coach to clients with complex financial needs and significant assets.
  • Deliver objective, unbiased financial planning and investment guidance across a wide spectrum of client goals. Utilize advanced planning software to design, analyze, and present customized financial strategies.
  • Help clients navigate major life decisions, transitions, and wealth transfer planning.
  • Partner with branch teams to uncover opportunities, support client conversations, and grow a private wealth practice.
  • Share best practices and collaborate with peers to elevate planning capabilities across the team.
Qualifications & Expertise
  • Required licenses prior to hire:
    Series 7, 63, 65 or 66, plus appropriate insurance licenses
  • 5+ years of industry experience in financial services or a related field required
  • 3–5+ years of dedicated financial planning experience (5+ years preferred)
  • Demonstrated track record of:
  • Delivering comprehensive financial plans
  • Managing client relationships and complex engagements
  • Asset consolidation, retention, and planning implementation
  • High client satisfaction and loyalty
  • Strong communication, consultative sales, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, planning-focused environment
