Responsibilities- Provide leadership, management and strategic direction with a focus on an exceptional client service experience and financial success through sound fiscal decision making
- Translate firm vision and strategy into an actionable business plan, provide specific objectives and monitor progress
- Team with marketing to develop sales and marketing plans, investigate and pursue areas for expansion of services within the existing client base while also pursuing new clients and actively participating in proposals
- Coordinate firm resources to ensure the best products and services are provided to clients
- Ensure team members receive meaningful training and development opportunities, appropriate challenges, timely feedback and positive recognition for their efforts
- Oversee the profitability of the practice, including effective personnel utilization, appropriate rates for services, and timely collection of fees
- Work closely with client executives and management teams to understand their businesses and assist in identifying and managing financial and operational risks, ensuring technology risks are managed
- Develop in‑depth knowledge of clients’ businesses and industries through direct client interaction on multiple engagement aspects
- Think independently and strategically about clients’ business, systems and risks, providing recommendations for business and process improvements based on the client’s objectives
- Provide strategic business advice by assisting in the implementation of new processes and controls that address key risks
- Assess, manage and optimize business risk across operational audit, enterprise risk management (ERM) and SOX compliance
- Review clients’ processes and controls against industry frameworks, identify gaps in design and execution, and communicate issues and recommendations to clients
- Be responsible for significant new business development, including identifying, sourcing, pursuing and winning risk advisory opportunities
- Produce comprehensive executive summaries and final reports for delivery to the client, documenting engagement work papers in accordance with industry‑accepted internal audit methodologies
- Act as a valued business advisor, build relationships and communicate effectively with the client to provide superior client service
- Lead professional and effective presentations to internal and external audiences
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, or related program
- CPA or CIA designation(s) required
- 12+ years of experience with risk advisory, internal/external audit, business process reengineering, and/or internal controls, with internal audit experience in the energy, technology, real estate, or healthcare preferred
- 7+ years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates
- Successful track record of building and growing a Risk Advisory practice, including establishing a team, client base and managing revenue
- Proven track record of new business development
- Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning, maintain ethical knowledge, and exhibit a sense of urgency and quality focus
- Ability to travel as needed for client engagements
