The Accounting Manager performs general ledger accounting functions for our client's closely held businesses and alternative assets investments, as well as for Sentinel Trust's investment funds, ensuring compliance with all accounting policies and procedures. The Accounting Manager interfaces with clients to initiate and manage client direct investment deals, including sub-doc preparation, capital calls, distributions, and valuations and works directly with external accountants, auditors, valuation professionals to render complete and accurate books and records.

The position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer, helping to develop and execute on accounting-related projects.

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting.
• CPA required.
• Five or more years' accounting experience required, preferably in partnership, oil and gas, or investment fund accounting.
• Advanced proficiency in Quick Books and Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with investment (Black Diamond), trust accounting (GWES), private equity performance (Private I), and partnership allocation (Hedge Tek) software is plus.
