Senior Property Accountant

Overview

Galleria area real estate development/property management company has 2 openings for Senior Property Accountants. This role is 100% in office and you will need to live in Houston and be able to commute to the Galleria area on a daily basis.

• Complete monthly financials for 10-12 properties
• Review payables/receivables
• Daily account analysis for money market investments
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations
• Provide financial information to auditors, tax consultants, lenders, and partners
• Coordinate and complete annual budgets
• Assist in the preparation of recoveries, 1099 & sales tax; coordinate tax return preparation
• Complete monthly/quarterly cash analysis, monthly/quarterly distributions & quarterly investor reports
• May be involved in preparation of construction draws and other special projects assigned by the Controller and Chief Accounting Officer

• Bachelor s degree in accounting
• Commercial retail property accounting experience required
• Solid financial reporting experience
• Strong working knowledge of Excel
• Currently using Yardi; strong knowledge of this real estate software is a plus

Salary range is $85-95K based upon experience.
