Skylight Lending is hiring an Underwriting Analyst to help power the next wave of residential solar adoption through disciplined, responsible consumer lending.

What You’ll DoYou’ll underwrite residential solar loan applications and make clear, defensible credit decisions that protect portfolio performance while keeping deals moving efficiently.
You will:
- Analyze credit bureau data, income documentation, and ability-to-pay
- Validate borrower identity and detect inconsistencies or fraud indicators
- Issue precise, complete stipulations to reduce rework
- Document decisions clearly for audit and compliance purposes
- Review project documentation and make decisions based on underwriting guidelines
- Collaborate closely with Account Management, Funding, and Risk teams
- Meet SLAs in a high-volume, structured environment
This role is internally focused and your clarity and decision quality directly impact partner experience and funding speed.
What We’re Looking For- 1–3+ years in consumer credit underwriting or risk-based loan decisioning (personal loans, auto, fintech, etc.)
- Strong bureau analysis and ability-to-pay evaluation skills
- Experience working in a production queue with SLA expectations
- High attention to detail and strong fraud awareness
- Ability to maintain independent judgment under urgency
Solar or home improvement lending experience is a MAJOR plus — not required.

- Contribution to process improvements as we scale
