Role OverviewWe are a tight-knit team and are looking for a highly motivated and skilled underwriting analyst to join us. The successful candidate will have a sharp eye for detail, exceptional analytical skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Our team is growing and we are looking for those with the ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
Roles and ResponsibilitiesThe underwriting analyst will be responsible for analyzing loan and dealer applications and determining if they meet our lending and underwriting criteria. This includes:
- Strong Analytical
Skills:
The successful candidate should have the ability to analyze financial statements, tax returns, and credit reports to determine the financial health of the consumers and the dealer partners. - Attention to Detail: Accuracy and attention to detail are important in this role. The underwriting analyst must have the ability to review large volumes of documentation and identify discrepancies.
- Communication
Skills:
Good verbal and written communication skills are critical in this role. The underwriting analyst will be required to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. - Time Management: The underwriting analyst must have effective time management skills to handle the volume of loan applications. The ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment is essential.
- Self-Motivated: Our team is fully remote, so the underwriting analyst must be self-motivated and disciplined to work independently.
The successful candidate should have a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in underwriting, preferably in consumer lending. The candidate should have a strong understanding of financial analysis, credit risk assessment, and the underwriting process.
