- Assumes responsibility for the effective and professional performance of financial service functions, including opening, closing and maintaining checking, savings, time deposit, and individual retirement accounts, and related services (safe deposit boxes, savings bonds, credit cards, and basic consumer loans).
- Answers questions and solves problems for clients by listening, collecting data, and securing answers.
- Profiles clients to identify sales opportunities and uses lead lists and other strategies to develop methods of generating additional business.
- Resolves client requests and questions promptly, courteously, and professionally; manages new client accounts and changes to existing accounts with accuracy and privacy.
- Maintains and protects the Bank’s professional reputation; establishes and maintains effective coordination with area personnel and management.
- Assists area personnel as required; keeps Banking Center Manager informed of area activities and significant problems; completes required reports; attends meetings and training; supports treasury management with new accounts and services; ensures daily logs are complete and organized for monthly review.
- Actively and professionally sells bank products and services; meets sales production goals.
- Education/Certification: High school graduate or equivalent.
- Required Knowledge: Good understanding of financial services and products.
- Experience
Required:
Zero up to 3 years of new account experience. - Other Requirements: Complete Personal Banker Mentor Program or Personal Banker Learning Plan;
Teller Learning Plan if applicable; understanding of the Caller Identification Process and Secure code; BPM Training (I, II, III, IV); knowledge of Docu Sign usage; ability to open consumer and commercial accounts; process debit cards; perform customer file maintenance and DDA exception handling; cross-sell bank products; complete required audits and trainings; assist on teller line if applicable; understand online banking;
and willingness to perform additional duties as assigned by Banking Center Manager.
- Excellent communication and public relations skills; professional appearance and attitude.
- Ability to operate related computer applications and business equipment including 10-key and telephone; solid math and bookkeeping abilities.
- Physical: Talking, hearing, finger dexterity, repetitive motion; average visual abilities; sedentary work with occasional exertion up to 10 lbs; no hazardous conditions typical of an office.
- Mental: Reasoning ability to follow instructions with a few variables; basic math, reading and writing skills; ability to communicate in complex sentences and manage typical banking administration tasks.
Monday - Friday: 7:30AM - 6:00PM (Varies); 40 hours.
