Senior Accountant

Overview

Our client is looking to fill the role of Senior Accountant. This role is responsible for accounting and financial reporting activities, including external reporting, internal management reporting, cash forecasting, and budgeting for the management entity and its subsidiaries. The organization is a global alternative asset manager providing financing solutions across special opportunity lending, structured credit, and public and private fixed-income strategies.

It partners with leading institutional investors and operates across multiple regions with a diverse, collaborative workforce.

• CPA and public accounting experience HIGHLY PREFERRED

• Coordinate with internal teams and external service providers to obtain required information.
• Ensure proper approval and accounting treatment of expenditures and contracts.
• Review bank reconciliations and post recurring monthly journal entries (accruals, prepaids, amortization, rebates, placement fees).
• Prepare monthly management reports, including variance analysis.
• Manage cash forecasting and budgeting.
• Analyze and allocate costs across entities, affiliates, and investment funds.
• Prepare intercompany invoices in line with transfer pricing policies.
• Assist with monthly consolidation.
• Prepare placement fee, management fee rebate, and performance fee rebate calculations.
• Prepare audit work papers, audited financial statements, and liaise with external auditors.
