OverviewA Houston-based middle market investment bank with a leading advisory practice focused on energy transition, power, and renewables, who advise sponsors, developers, utilities, and strategic investors across sectors including solar, wind, battery storage, distributed generation, energy services, grid infrastructure, and decarbonization platforms.
We are seeking a highly motivated Investment Banking Analyst to join their growing team. The Analyst will play a critical role in financial analysis, valuation, and transaction execution across M&A and capital raising mandates within the energy transition ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain detailed financial models, including advanced DCF models (required), project finance models, comparable company analysis, and precedent transaction analysis
- Perform in-depth valuation analysis for renewable energy, power, and energy transition platforms
- Support transaction execution across sell-side M&A, buy-side advisory, and capital raises (equity and debt)
- Prepare pitch materials, confidential information memoranda (CIMs), management presentations, and other client-facing materials
- Conduct industry research and market analysis across energy transition sectors
- Coordinate due diligence processes and manage data rooms
- 1–3 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, and/or valuation advisory
- Experience or strong interest in energy transition, power, renewables, or energy infrastructure
- Advanced DCF modeling skills required — must be able to independently build fully integrated financial models
- Familiarity with project finance, contracted revenue models, or asset-heavy businesses is a plus
- Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, transaction-oriented environment
- Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance
