We have an opening for a Senior Financial Analyst to support the CFO and senior management in financial planning, forecasting, capital strategy, and ALCO analysis.
The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and modeling skills with a deep understanding of banking financials, capital management. Key skills include advanced financial modeling, data analysis, and proficiency with relevant software and financial statements.
- Perform annual budget, monthly variance analysis, quarterly forecasts and multi-year financial projections and evaluate current and future performance trajectory. Performs FP&A involving budget and other financial forecasting, analyzing business performance, and making recommendations for performance improvements.
- Manage the budget process by reviewing and explaining budget variances with responsible executives/senior managers.
- Support the CFO and Controller with monthly ALCO packages, including NIM, rate sensitivity, and liquidity analysis.
- Prepare management and board–level financial reports summarizing profitability, liquidity, and capital metrics.
- Build and maintain dynamic financial models for loan and deposit growth, margin projections, and capital metrics.
- Conduct yield and cost-of-funds analysis across market regions to inform deposit and funding strategy, including leading deposit analytics to support pricing strategy and modeling Asset-Liability-Management (ALM) strategies.
- Contribute to capital planning, stress testing, and public-company readiness initiatives; evaluate financial performance of the Bank’s lines of business and assist with decision making by synthesizing key trends, assessing risks, and reporting on financial results and metrics.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic initiatives.
- Perform liquidity planning and cash forecasting for the Bank.
- Forecast and manage liquidity needs through daily cash flow analysis to support the bank’s daily operations and balance sheet strategy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA or CPA preferred.
- 3-5 years of progressive FP&A experience in a bank or financial institution.
- Advanced Excel modeling skills; familiarity with Power BI, SQL, or similar tools; strong banking knowledge; and knowledge of GAAP.
- Competency in regulatory compliance rules and laws.
- Demonstrated ability to read and analyze financial data and to recognize potential conflicts.
- Ability to use judgment and discretion in resolving problems; manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with MS Word and Excel; familiarity with accounting software.
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
